For those who wish to support the work of the Kehillah, offerings may be directed toward any of the purposes below, or given for the general good of the congregation.
Kehillah Kedoshah Zikhron Zvi is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Offerings are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

The Kehillah prays in a room built in 1904, under painted murals of the same year, on floors that have held more than a century of standing and sitting, gathering and song. One campaign of $6,000 restores both: the repair and restoration of the floors, and the conservation of the original painted murals.

The Kehillah reads from an eighteenth-century Bavarian scroll whose letterforms are unlike those of any scroll in ordinary use. Restoring it is the work of a sofer: the parchment repaired, and the letters that have cracked or faded written again. The campaign is $23,000, and all but $3,000 has been raised.

The Kehillah prays from its own pages. This project designs, typesets, and prints KKZZ’s own siddurim — traditional and egalitarian, in the congregation’s liturgical practice and in its own aesthetic.

An offering of any amount may be made in memory of a person, or in honor of one. The name is entered with the offering, travels with it, and is named on the Congregation’s receipt and in its records.
The tables of the Kehillah are open to sponsorship in the old way of congregations — for a yahrzeit, a birthday, a recovery, an anniversary, a thanksgiving, or no stated reason at all.

Every offering is acknowledged. Each contributor receives an official receipt of Kehillah Kedoshah Zikhron Zvi, a 501(c)(3) organization, stating the amount and the designated purpose — the restoration, a project, a kiddush, a name remembered or honored. Receipts are sent by the Congregation’s secretary; for any question about an offering or a receipt, please be in touch.
